Teresa Lara, miembro de la CEV, promueve y apoya la iniciativa “vela para países emergentes” en el marco del Mundial de Vela de Santander y ante S.M. el Rey Felipe VI.

Teresa Lara ha apoyado el programa Vela para los países emergentes desde los órganos de la ISAF. Ya en la reunión del Consejo General de la Cofradía Europea de la Vela de Ferrol de 2012 propuso como línea de trabajo apoyar la mentalización de la juventud cara a la vela y que la Cofradía apoyara en ese sentido.

 

Este programa comenzó en el mes de marzo del año 2012 con el primer curso en Argelia para los países del norte de África. Ha sido recibido por 80 entrenadores, 76 regatistas masculinos y 33 regatistas femeninas  repartidos en   48 países , ubicados en  los 5 continentes.

 

El programa se ha desarrollado en las siguientes ciudades: Battam(Indonesia); Paracas (Perú); Qatar; Santander para países Europeos; Langeban (Sudafrica); Cabarete(República Dominicana); Autaki(Cook Islands), patrocinado por ISAF.

 

La filosofía del programa es darle a los países emergentes las herramientas necesarias para que compitan en igualdad de condiciones con los regatistas de los países desarrollados.

 

Durante el año 2013, los regatistas más destacados se reunieron en Santander para participar en el Test Event del Campeonato Mundial y durante el año 2014 fueron invitados nuevamente a terminar su aprendizaje. Se han realizado 6 cursos: dos para Laser Standar y dos para Laser Radial. El tercer curso será dictado antes del Campeonato Mundial.

 

De los 21 países distribuidos por los 5 Continentes acudirán 11 regatistas de Laser Radial y 16 regatistas de Laser Stándar.

Desde la Cofradía se ha apoyado la iniciativa dando a conocer experiencias de cofrades en sus territorios donde con gran éxito han logrado la mentalización y acceso de todos a la vela. En concreto en el Miniforo Internacional de la Vela organizado este año en Santiago de Compostela se conocieron las buenas prácticas y las experiencias francesas, inglesas, españolas y americanas en el desarrollo de la vela y se hizo un análisis de situación y de propuestas de cara al futuro.

 

La Cofradía se congratula de la buena acogida del programa y el respaldo que ha manifestado la Casa Real Española a través de su Rey, Felipe VI en Santander.

OUR BROTHER, TERESA LARA, DEFENDS THE PROJECT “SAILING FOR EMERGING COUNTRIES” IN THE WORLD SAILING OF SANTANDER

 

 

Teresa Lara has supported the Sailing program form emerging countries from the ISAF. Since the meeting of the General Council of the European Sailing Fraternity in Ferrol 2012 she has proposed a line of work to support awareness of the sail in young people all around the world.

 

This program began in March of 2012 with the first course in Algeria for the countries of North Africa. It has been received by 80 coaches, 76 male and 33 female sailors spread over 48 countries, located in the 5 continents.

 

The program has been developed in the following cities: Battam (Indonesia); Paracas (Peru); Qatar; Santander for European countries; Langeban (South Africa); Cabarete (Dominican Republic); Autaki (Cook Islands), sponsored by ISAF).

The philosophy of the program is to give emerging countries the tools to compete on equal terms with the sailors of developed countries.

 

During 2013, the most outstanding sailors gathered at Santander to participate in the World Championship Test Event for 2014 and were invited back to finish his apprenticeship. There have been 6 courses: two for Laser Standard and two for Laser Radial. The third course will be before the World Championship.

 

Of the 21 countries across 5 continents will attend 11 Laser Radial sailors and 16 sailors Laser Standard.

 

Fraternity has supported the initiative through the promotion of these experiences of the brothers in their territories where they have successfully achieved the awareness and access the sail for all. Specifically in the International Sailing Miniforum organized this year in Santiago de Compostela where the good practice and experience of French, English, Spanish and American were show to the participants with an analysis and proposals for the future.
